You can charge fixed late fees (e.g. $10 for when an invoice goes overdue), fixed interested (e.g. 2% of the invoice total is charged as the late fee) or an annual interest rate (e.g. 7.9% a year on overdue amounts, calculated daily)
A policy is a late fee, either fixed, or interested based, or a early repayment discount. You apply policies to groups. You will always have a default group where all of your customers default into. Depending on your plan, you an create multiple policies and groups, to customise your setup.
Latechaser defines a group as a group of customers. You will always have a default group (all customers), and depending on your plan you can create more groups where you can assign customers into. You can apply different policies (or no policies) to groups to customise the late fees or early payment discounts that are sent out. Learn more about groups.
